Product Description:

Camu camu is a native Peruvian plant which grows in the Amazon forests, in lowlands flooded areas. The bushes, which produce red berry-like fruits, can grow up to 8 meters high. Camu camu is well appreciated for its very high vitamin C contents, which can be almost 60 times more than that found in orange flesh.

Active Principles: Ascorbic acid (1800-2700/100mg. fruit pulp), citric acid, leucoanthocyanins, taninnes, phenolic stearates and acid.

Benefits

Due to its high concentration of ascorbic acid, camu camu is indicated in the prevention and treatment of colds and flues and as a strenghthener of mucose membranes. It is a powerful antioxidant. It is also used as a laxative, and in the treatment of rheumatism and diabetes.
